i am not desperate... hmph.

lately, my msn has been going beserk on me...  my computer must be possessed.    it'll sign me on as "available" when i'll have put it on "away"...  as u can imagine, this has caused me some problems.  like, of the type where a friend will think i'm there and the messages come in the following order:

friend says:
yo wassup?!?

friend says:
hello???

friend says:
why are u ignoring me?

friend says:
b*tch.

haha, jk... but seriously, people leave me messages thinking i'm there when i'm really not.  does this happen to anyone else? 

i miss my assistant. [the pc term for "secretary" these days, i think?]  she's taking a personal day today.  i  her... she's actually not my original assistant, but my og assistant has been out on sick leave since like november now...  so actually, i've worked more with my current assistant than i have with my og one.  i guess that's why we've built a rapport, but i really like her and fully utilize her.  i think before, i used to be scared to ask my og assistant to do stuff... but now, with my new assistant, i'm calling her desk ALL the time... sometimes just to say hi.    i hope i can keep her when/if my og assistant comes back!

up until last week, i thought she was only a few years older than me... someone in her early to mid-30s, i thought.  maybe that's why she's easier to approach than my older og assistant, i thought.  but last week, i found out she's 50!!!  can u believe that???  holy moly, she looks 35 at the most!    she was telling me how she has a 26 y.o. son, and how when she went out the other week, some 26 y.o. hit on her.  [she's attractive, too.]  WOW.  if only i look like that when i'm 50... man.  i still can't believe it.  i told her i'd have to see her son's birth certificate to believe her...  but seriously, that's just crazy.

some woman i just met today told me i had a good pedigree and that it'd be easy to match me up...  this made me think two things:

(1).  what am i?  a dog??? 
(2).  why does she assume i'm single??? 

wth?  seriously, isn't this a weird thing to say to someone u just meet?  do i look desperate or something?  um, don't answer that.   [there should be a sad, blushing smiley.]

and the weirdest thing was that she was white...  i'm used to asian parents trying to set me up, but some random, middle-aged white woman i had just met in a work situation?  not so much.

needless to say, i did give her my biznass card.  harhar.  u shaddup.
